Thornless roses?

K-mart have a heap of "Smoothies" in stock at present. I thought I might try a few of them. Any comments? I'm wondering if they have bred them for no thorns at the expense of other good garden qualities, but I'm thinking they would be good down near the kids play area.

Iceberg is almost thornless and is great, renea another great one, go for it, they are great

Hmmm - pretty much as i expected. I would say they have bred them for smooth canes, at the expense of other good garden qualities.
They were $16 plus which is far too expensive when there are good quality roses for less than 1/2 that.
