To stop cramps put a camphor block between the bottom sheet and the matress--really works.

and failing that, if you get cramps in the calf, just rock the leg sideways, back and forth, moving the calf muscle. Guaranteed to get rid of the nastiest cramp in just seconds. Wish I'd worked that one out many years ago. Very Happy
