what to take to stop tummy bugs
Does anyone know what to take to stop tummy upsets,prefer natural.Tried grated apple only worked for a while.we need something as there is a major event for us this weekend and the kids have just got it,we are sure to be next.

Wash your hands a lot and make sure the kids do the same, particularly after the toilet.
Take plenty of fluids - tea is good, but you will of course pee a lot :-)
Avoid dairy foods. Avoid nuts and anything else you can think of that would normally go straight through.
Otherwise eat only good healthy foods.

An old South African remedy is burnt brandy. You take a tablespoon of brandy ( per person) and burn off the alcohol - LET IT COOL. I gave my kids it and it worked, not that they liked the hot spoon the first time I tried it though - idiot mother! With the grated apple, you are supposed to let it go brown to release the pectin. The combination of the two always fixed mine, sometimes it took three doses.

too late Dh is down with it ,guess I am next.the chemist has some thing on standby, at least the bridesmaid and flowergirl are now over it. .Apparently it make you clear it out in 8 hours and you are good to go.So see you all next week.

Raspberry cordial was advised to take camping and overseas. Supposedly good for giardia.
