Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
by Barbara Kingsolver.
I started this book about 2 months ago and still haven't finished it. Highly unusual, as I usually finish a book within a day or three.
I love this book. It's very, very interesting and readable. However, the topic is very close to my heart and my blood starts to boil after a few pages. Hence the slow pace.
If you care about the food you eat, your garden, the environment, etc. this book is worth reading.
It follows Barbara Kingsolver's family throughout one year where they try to eat local food, as much as possible. This also involves growing their own vegetables and keeping their own animals for eggs and meat. It also describes the state of the USA's food industry and agricultural business.
Has anyone read it? What did you think?

I use her previous book as a chock for a garden table (The Poison wood Bible) so I am reluctant to read anything of hers, why waste a tree.Seriously if you are plodding through it you are not enjoying it and life is too short to read bad books.IMHO
