Feed the trees!
I'm probably way behind everybody. But I finally found the time to start feeding my fruit trees.
Managed to do 10 trees today, tons more to go, but it's a start.
I fed them complete mineral fertiliser, potassium sulphate, sheep manure, mushroom compost and a thick layer of pea straw. What do you feed your fruit trees?

Hey Mad Gnome
You're not the only one behind in this...I like to fertilise the trees before a nice soaking rain but that just hasn't happened this year!!
Mine will have to be content with having the chooks live under them for now. I'll catch up, hopefully next spring. I do give them plenty of mulch and empty the chook tractor around them.
Fortunately they are all over 10 years old now and tend to manage by themselves. If I put new ones in I'll have to take more care of them. I have 3 new citrus that I did fert in spring but since then have just used a slow feeding mulch as it's too late to feed them now (not that we are getting much rain yet)
Hopefully this winter's rainfall will be better than the last one and I can give everything a good feed next spring.
I'm rearranging the garden at the moment to let the chooks have a wider range under most of the fruit trees. I'm also trying to establish one or two beds of lucerne to cut as mulch (and for the chooks).
