Off for a couple of days

I'm heading to Hobart early tomorrow for a couple of days to visit the Quilt Exhibition at the Derwent Centre. This is a huge Craft and Quilt Show so I'll have my AMEX card in tow and hope to get some inspiration for quilts. There's snow on Mt Wellington, so hoping we can stay warm! We had hail, rain, wind and cold here today so I imiagine Hobart to be even worse!

I forgot the camera! But I've got lots of pictures in my head! Lovely Japanese exhibition as well as the usual and one quilt inspired me enormously - called Broken Windscreen, it was reds, oranges and blacks is 'fractured' triangles. The label said she got inspiration driving into the sun trying to see through a broken windscreen. I loved it - there's art in everything eh? Spent too much time catching up with loads of old friends who all live on the NW Coast but end up in the same place in the South!
