Hedgerow photos at last
Well - sticks and straw, but some leaves should show soon.
I planted 10 various hazelnuts, 2 chestnuts, 1 black mulberry, 1 nashi, 2 sour cherries (Kentish & Morello), 3 crab apples, 2 English Oaks, 1 plum (prune) and 3 pink lady apple seedlings that grew in my fernery from a core thrown from the upstairs balcony.

Re: Hedgerow photos at last
The hedgerow was surprisingly easy. I'm waiting for the weeds though, because we didn't use newspaper.
I had a bob cat rip the area before the fence went in. with the rain we have had, the holes were very easy to dig, except for the Oaks. These holes were done with a post hole digger and I broke the sides away with the shovel.
It really was easy and only took a few hours to plant out, and a few more to throw out the mulch. The mulch will be topped up from the stack in picture 2. I intend to keep it quite deep then underplant with bulbs when the soil has been worked over by my gardening friends - the worms.
I planted the treas with seamungus to get their roots going strong.
Cheers, Jan
