There's a yellow one in the Frogmore Garden catalogue - any reason why it wouldn't grow here?

I've seen these described as both a lily and an iris - seems funny. I take it the common orange one is now classed as a weed or are they all potential weeds. Not moist enough here for it to be a problem though.

It should grow in sub tropical and tropical areas - mind you it is a declared week in NSW and can get away if conditions suit it. You need to divide it every couple of years. It has 'escaped' in Tasmania but not to the extent it has in NSW. It gets little corms on 'strings' on its roots and once you've got it, it is hard to get rid of! Very pretty though...........
